Camryn McNab, Director
With her outstanding writing skills and deep commitment to social justice, Camryn McNab is an invaluable asset to BMWL and its clients.
Born and raised on the Peninsula, Camryn’s love for writing and politics was instilled in her at an early age by her father and grandfather. Her family’s deep commitment to social justice and equality inspired her to pursue a career in public affairs and politics.
Camryn is a contributing author for BlackPast.org, a highly respected journal that celebrates the accomplishments of African American activists. Through her writing, Camryn has explored the histories of some of the most influential figures in the civil rights movement. She further fueled her interest in politics through her work with Congresswoman Jackie Speier, where she gained invaluable experience in local government work and constituent services.
Camryn earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon, where she majored in political science and minored in history while earning the distinct honor of being inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Her academic background has provided her with a strong foundation in political theory, policy analysis, and research methods, which she draws upon daily at BMWL.
Outside of work, Camryn enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and discovering new places to eat in San Francisco.
